awara
Write your own narrative.

Awara is a living narrative, and you are its author. Here, passive itineraries are replaced with active Quests—designed for those who refuse to skim the surface. This journey is about true connection. It is about truly understanding the land, honoring its culture, and sitting at the same table with the people who shape it. You don’t just pass through to take photos; you anchor yourself, master the local crafts, ride the swell, and forge memories with your own hands. A selected collective, authentic artisans, and days left intentionally blank so you can write your own story. Step into a journey where you become the protagonist.

The anatomy of an expedition

01

An intimate scale

SELECTED PEOPLE. BIG ENOUGH FOR DIVERSE PERSPECTIVES, SMALL ENOUGH TO FIT AROUND A SINGLE ARTISAN'S TABLE.

02

The swell & the craft

Physical movement meets grounded focus. Every route is anchored in the raw power of the ocean and deep-rooted traditional craftsmanship.

03

The unplanned hour

Awara leaves room for spontaneity. The most profound human connections happen in the margins of the itinerary.

04

Lived narrative

Authentic interactions with the people who shape the culture. You come back with stories written in the moment.

The Hero’s Blueprint

I navigate the world through the lens of a visual artist and the instinct of a surfer. My life has been spent creating art across mediums—stages, spaces, and visual stories—while chasing heavy swells across the globe. But I realized early on that the greatest masterpieces aren’t created in studios or on artificial stages; they are lived out in the wild. They happen when you are covered in the dust of a vast desert, flying with the strongest winds, dropping into the wildest waves, or finding stillness deep in the jungle. They happen when you share a table with souls from every corner of the earth—expanding your world and forging a massive, borderless family.
In all my creations and travels, one philosophy became my absolute compass: Joseph Campbell’s ‘Hero’s Journey’. Campbell wrote, “Follow your bliss,” and warned that “The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.” Every trip I took was a pursuit of that bliss—stepping into the unknown, the uncomfortable, and the raw to find profound connection. AWARA was born directly from this blueprint.
There are no passive travel itineraries here; only ‘Quests’. Every AWARA expedition is architected as a living narrative arc. You cross the threshold into a new world, face the physical trials of the ocean, learn the ancient wisdom of local mentors, and return transformed. I design the framework and the coordinates to feed this exact story. But the journey? That is entirely yours to write. Follow your bliss.
